The opportunity

Adlib is looking for a Project Manager within our Professional Services group to oversee the end-to-end project management process. We need a team leader and a relationship builder; someone who can advocate an Agile methodology. Someone who is comfortable spending up to 75% of their time onsite, in a client-facing role. We need a Project Manager with a proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time, on budget and with high client satisfaction. This is a role for someone who wants to manage the details and the big picture; someone who is an expert at mitigating risks and defining proactive resolutions. A project manager who is interested in contributing to the governance side of our practice, proactively working towards potential build of a PMO.

Who you are & how you will grow with us

You are an experienced Project Manager working at a larger consulting firm in a client-facing software implementation role. You are looking for greater recognition and the opportunity to pioneer best practices in a smaller, growing company. You are interested in working for a greater range of clients on projects ranging in size from 2 to 18 months.

Joining us now is an opportunity to become an influencer. You will act as the conduit between Product, R&D, Marketing and Support, relaying customer requests and supporting feature builds. You will be given the chance to grow from the leader of small projects to larger ones up to program management. From there, you can choose to accelerate your career into a people oversight or executive role.

Our new Project Manager will:

  • Manage one or more multiphase document classification projects.
  • Oversee the project. You will own and drive the complete execution of the project. From gathering requirements around document rendering to determining the types of data that need extracting. You will establish project schedules, manage scope and change requests and oversee the project efforts.
  • Be responsible for the end-to-end process including detailed planning, budgeting, reporting, implementation, change management and training.
  • Drive the implementation and manage communications and risks for big and small business projects.
  • Consider the big-picture effects and proactively manage issues.
  • Contribute to the strategic direction of our Professional Services team.
  • Report into the internal and external project stakeholders on the project status, budget and change requests.

​Our new Project Manager will have:

  • The ideal combination of education, certification and experience:
  • A university degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Bonus points for PMP Certification
  • 5+ years experience in project management, overseeing and delivering complex Technology projects
  • Full SDLC, preferably following an Agile methodology
  • Client-facing experience is essential
  • Exposure to Document/Content Management solutions
  • Project Management skills. You are highly detail oriented and meticulous. Your focus is accomplishing every milestone while ensuring processes are followed and issues are proactively dealt with.
  • Relationship building expertise. You have expertise working closely with internal and external stakeholders to identify business challenges and to develop effective strategies to fulfill expectations.
  • Transparent communication style. You are an outstanding communicator in formal, informal, large, small, verbal and written communications. You can effectively influence and work with people at all levels.
  • A creative and process-oriented approach. You have strengths in strategic visioning and concept development.
  • A drive to continuously improve. You are a forward thinker and believe in implementing and following best practices.
